Therefore, before undertaking any disinfection, it is recommended to know and observe the rules of safe work with
disinfectants. The aim of the present review was to collate the applicable rules of using disinfectants in beauty salons, discuss requirements for efficient disinfection, and summarise legal regulations applicable to working with disinfectants as hazardous chemicals. Material and methods: An overview of legal acts applicable to efficient and safe disinfection of the skin, instruments and surfaces in beauty salons. Results: A compilation was presented in tables of relevant legal acts applicable to disinfection, requirements for efficient disinfection, disinfecting preparations licensed for use in Poland, and a master safety data sheet for disinfectants. Moreover, original standard operating procedures for the disinfection of the skin, instruments and surfaces in beauty salons were proposed.
